As fitted to the Freelander, the performance of this engine can be greatly improved by the addition of a HALTEC performance chip and Dyno tuning
- It provides a sizeable increase in power and torque.
- it virtually eliminates exhaust smoke - there is NO plume of black smoke on starting, or when climbing hills, as occurs with some competitor systems
In the performance graph below, the lower line is the "first run" prior to tuning. The upper line shows the increased power achieved by the Graeme Cooper engineers.
